Some guides are serious, some are a joke. Some are updated from time to time, others haven't been touched since 1999...
The best bits are the recipes in the cooking section - things like apple pie, cheese biscuits, vegetarian curry and toast. The guide to building a computer might be useful if you want to do that, or my guide to science should answer some of those questions you've always had, but been too afraid to ask.
